The Library collections

Over the years, the Library has received important donations from private libraries, including the extremely rich collection of Angelo Maria Ripellino, which arrived in two separate shipments. Given Ripellino's wide-ranging interests, the resulting collection is a valuable resource for all areas of Slavic studies. Other important donations were those of Umberto Norsa and Witold Zahorski, which strengthened the Polish studies section, those of the Institute for Eastern Europe and Professor Ettore Lo Gatto, which strengthened the Russian studies section, and that of Cristina Bertea, which strengthened the English studies section.

The main collections of the Library are as follows:

Cristina Bertea
Casa Russia
Lionello Costantini

Ettore Lo Gatto
